Café del Mundo is an international podcast that seeks to bring the experiences and perspectives of Erasmus and all international exchange students closer to the wider university community in Jaén, a medium-sized city in the South of Spain. This podcast is a space for intercultural exchange and learning that enables students to share their culture: history, food, music, language with a local and international audience. In each episode, we interview students from a different nationality. Speaking with international students from a different country we reach beyond stereotypes and achieve a deeper understanding of society and culture.

In every Café del Mundo we also disseminate the way the Erasmus+ programme works in an entertaining and clear way, explaining how it is structured into different Key Actions and a variety of modalities such as Blended Intensive Programmes. Hence, we debunk the common misconceptions about Erasmus+ and provide a faithful source for information on a wide range of opportunities for the university community.

Cafe del Mundo is a student initiative developed by ESN Jaén member, Mario Fernández Carrasco. During its two-season run, it has been praised by many sectors at the University of Jaén for its outstanding impact and its innovative approach to internationalization, it has the support of the Vice Rectorate for Internationalization at the University of Jaén and Uniradio Jaén.
